Colin Trevorrow directed Jurassic World is now officially the highest grossing movie of the year.
The movie has now collected $500 million mark in the U.S. surpassing $452.4 million collected by Avengers: Age Of Ultron.
Jurassic World is the only fifth movie to pass a half billion dollars.
If the movie will be able to overtake The Dark Knight for fourth position needs to be seen.
