Director Richard Linklater May Direct Jennifer Lawrence’s ‘Rosie Project’

Sony is keen to sign 'Boyhood' director Richard Linklater for upcoming movie 'Rosie Project' starring Jennifer Lawrence. The movie, based on the Graeme Simsion novel, centers on a socially awkward genetics professor who devises a science-based survey to find the perfect mate — only to see those theories splintered when he meets the spontaneous Rosie Jarman (played by Lawrence), who possesses the opposite qualities. Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber, of “(500) Days of Summer,” have revised Simsion’s adaptation of the novel. “The Lego Movie” co-directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were initially interested, but have opted to take on Disney’s Han Solo “Star Wars” standalone movie.
