Actress Diana Douglas, Mother of Michael Douglas, Dies at 92

Veteran actress Diana Douglas, mother of actor Michael Douglas, has passed away at an age of 92. Ms Douglas, who appeared in dozens of films and TV shows including Planes, Trains and Automobiles, ER and The West Wing, died of cancer in a retirement home on July 3. Her husband of 13 years, Donald Webster, confirmed the death of the actress. She was the first wife of actor Kirk Douglas and was married to the legendary actor from 1943 until their divorce in 1951. She had two sons, Michael and Joel, with Kirk. Ms Douglas was married to actor Bill Darrid from 1956 until his death in 1992. She later married Mr Webster in 2002. The actress officially retired from showbiz in 2008 at the age of 85.
