It's been 17 years since Sandra Bullock did an animation movie.
The actress said that decided to do Minions, a spin-off of the Despicable Me series, for her five-year-old son.
Asked about her decision to be a part of Minions, Bullock said: "My son."
"I wanted to do something that he could see, that I was in," added Bullock, who has an adopted son called Louis.
The actress further added that her son loves physical humor and animation, and because she loves to hear him laugh, joining Minions was a no-brainer.
The movie Minions is scheduled to release on July 10, 2015.
