On August 2, the MCA lifted a five-year ban on Shah Rukh Khan that had been imposed after an altercation between the actor and a security guard and MCA officials in 2012.
The actor thanked the officials for the same.
"My gentle father in law made me realise how lil it matters who was rite or who was wrong. Wot matters is grace. Thnx MCA for ur graciousness," he tweeted.
After an IPL match in which SRK's Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) beat Mumbai Indians, a police complaint was registered against the Bollywood superstar for voluntarily causing hurt and for intimidation. However, since it was a non-cognizable offence, SRK wasn't arrested.
Since the imposition of the ban, Shah Rukh Khan has not attended any games at Wankhede stadium including the May 14 match between KKR and Mumbai Indians this year.
