Actress Margis Fakhri has been cast opposite Emraan Hashmi in the movie 'Azhar', which is a biopic of India's former Cricket captain Azharuddin.
The actress will play the role of Sangeeta Bijlani in the film, Azharuddin's wife.
Earlier actresses like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nimrat Kaur were considered for the role but Nargis Fakhri won as the makers thought that the actress fit the bill perfectly in terms of looks, style and glamour.
Azhar will trace the journey of Azharuddin's career and his personal life, which have witnessed many ups and down.
The film is likely to go on floors next month.
