Why Katrina Kaif isn't a part of 'Namastey London'

Director Vipul Shah recently announced his dream project, a sequel to 2007 hit 'Namastey London'. Though the director is reuniting with the lead actor Akshay Kumar, the director isnt keen on casting Katrina Kaif as the female lead in the movie and is looking for a new face. "Namastey London had worked really well and now Vipul has a fantastic script in hand, one where he needs a very strong actress and performer. Katrina doesn't suit the bill and he also wanted a fresh pairing for the sequel. That's why she wasn't approached for the sequel," sources said to a popular daily. "We will finalise the cast in 10 days. Akshay has been retained but we are looking for a new heroine. We have not approached Katrina for the film," Vipul Shah said. The movie is expected to release in 2016.
