Priyanka Chopra joins UNICEF against anaemia

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra joined a UNICEF campaign to raise awareness against the prevalence of anaemia among adolescents in India. The actress, a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF, addressed a press conference in Madhya Pradesh, to speak about the need to educated the public about child nutrition in India. Chopra, who has been associated with UNICEF for close to ten years, said that malnutrition in children, especially among girls, was a cause for worry. Experts say that girls constitute more than two-thirds of India's anaemia patients and those who drop out before completing the treatment.
