Actress Sonakshi Sinha broke the news that she would be playing Dawood Ibrahim's Sister Haseena Parkar on her Twitter page.
"Thank you shekhar! It is a brilliant script... I cant wait to play haseena :)" actress tweeted.
Director Apoorva Lakhi, of Shootout at Lokhandwala fame, will direct Haseena - The Queen of Mumbai, a film on the life of Dawood Ibrahim's sister Haseena Parkar.
Produced by Mubina Rattonsey, the movie will track 40 years of Haseena's life as the sister of one of India's most wanted outlaws. Haseena Parkar, one of Dawood's 11 siblings, died in 2014 after a heart attack.
The shooting for the movie will begin shooting early next year.
